Life and Law In 19th Century Arkansas
April 16th-May 16th

Participating Agencies: U.S. Marshals Museum, Fort Smith National Historic Site, Fort Smith Museum of History, and Clayton House

Attention Teachers!! Life and Law in 19th Century Arkansas is a full day, four part experience for students. Through site visits and presentations, students will explore what it was like to live in the late 19th century, as well as Ft. Smith and Arkansas’s important role in state and national events and politics. Participating classes will receive a free set of classroom materials, and transportation for the trip will be funded. Space is limited, and an application is required. Applications are due March 1st. Selected applicants will be notified by March 16th. 5th Annual Safe Kids! Fair
May 18th, 3p-6p, Pendergraft Park, Fort Smith

Participating Agencies: U.S. Marshals Museum, AOG, DNA Lifprint, Arvest Bank, and many more!

Bring your kids for an afternoon of fun in the park, hosted by the U.S. Marshals Museum and Arvest Bank! This event offers children and parents the opportunity to meet representatives from multiple agencies, learn ways to protect themselves, and learn how to talk about difficult topics--all in one location! FREE DNA LifePrint kits will be available, including fingerprints, photographs, and DNA swabbing to help in the event a child goes missing. Arvest Bank will provide hot dogs, chips, and drinks. This event is FREE and open to the public!
