U.S. Marshals Service to Hold Auto Auction

Albuquerque, NM – The U.S. Marshals Service will be auctioning 25 vehicles which were seized due to illegal activities. The auction will begin promptly at 10:00 am August 29, 2014 in Albuquerque.

Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Greensboro

Greensboro, NC – Yesterday evening at 6:00 PM, Jessie Jonathan Kuykendoll, a 29 year old, Black Male, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF). On August 16, 2014, officers from the High Point Police Department (HPPD) responded to High Point Regional Hospital's emergency room in reference to a victim of a gunshot wound. The victim, a female, had been a passenger in a vehicle traveling near East Green Drive when she was shot by an unknown person. The victim was immediately taken to the emergency room where she was initially treated and airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.

Alabama Fugitive Captured in Savannah

Savannah, GA – A South Florida man wanted by the Ozark Alabama Police Department for armed robbery was arrested in Garden City, Georgia by the Savannah Office of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, SCMPD TIU (Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department - Tactical Investigation Unit) Investigators, and the Garden City Police Department on August 19, 2014.

Savannah Man Arrested

August 20, 2014 - Jeremy Campen, a Savannah man wanted for two counts of Aggravated Battery, was arrested by the Savannah Office of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Tactical Investigation Unit.

Pennsylvania Burglary Suspect Arrested in Winston-Salem by U.S. Marshals

August 19, 2014 - Sylvia Annett Davis was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force. Davis was wanted by the Reading City Police Department in Reading, Pennsylvania for 16 counts of Burglary.

Myrtle Beach Suspect Captured in Greensboro by U.S. Marshals

August 19, 2014 - Tristan Datre Payne was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force. On May 30, 2014, warrants were issued by the Myrtle Beach Police Department in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for Accessory After the Fact of Attempted Murder.

U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Baltimore Rape Suspect in York

August 19, 2014 - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin Pane announced the arrest of Brian Hall on charges of second degree Rape and other related offenses. Deputy U.S. marshals and task force officers from the Middle District of Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force arrested Hall without incident in York, PA.

U.S. Marshals Capture Lone Female Fugitive on 15 Most Wanted List

August 13, 2014 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - The lone female fugitive on the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted list was placed in handcuffs by Deputy U.S. Marshals after they closed in on her at a Portland, Oregon shopping mall, ending her five-year run from the law. Janet Killough Barreto, who was wanted in Mississippi for Failure to Appear on original charges of Manslaughter of a Child, three counts of Child Abuse, six counts of Child Neglect and Tampering with a Witness, was apprehended along with her husband, Ramon Barreto.

U.S. Marshals and Local Police Verify Sex Offender Compliance

Williamsport, PA - Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced that the home addresses of 164 registered sex offenders living within a 20-mile radius of the Little League World Series site were verified as part of Operation Safety Net. Law enforcement officials continue to investigate five potential violations.

Fugitive on the Run for 17 Years Stopped Dead In His Tracks

August 12, 2014 - Oscar Zapata was arrested this afternoon by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the United States Pretrial Services Office, where it is alleged that Zapata violated the conditions of his bond release.

'Fugitive of the Week' Arrested and Bailed in Massachusetts

August 12, 2014 - Yesterday, Fugitive of the Week, Shantel Demand, was arrested in Salisbury, MA. Demand was being sought on an outstanding arrest warrant issued in September of 2013. The NH State Parole Board issued an arrest warrant for Demand for violating her conditions of parole after being convicted and sentenced for burglaries.

U.S. Fugitive Found On Mexican Soil

August 11, 2014 - Moises Trujillo was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Trujillo committed Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

Suspect in Armed Robbery and Kidnapping Arrested in Greensboro, NC by U.S. Marshals

Greensboro, NC – On July 28, 2014 at 09:30am, Charles Lewis Compton, a 38 year old, Black Male was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force. On June 3rd, 2014, warrants were issued against Compton by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and 2 counts of Second Degree Kidnapping. These warrants stemmed from Compton’s alleged participation in a robbery committed on May 29, 2014, at the Village Business Center and Sweepstakes in Reidsville, NC. It is alleged that Compton, along with three other individuals, entered the business and, at gunpoint, tied up the employees and robbed the establishment.

U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests York Murder Suspect in Richmond, VA

Harrisburg, PA – Today, U.S. Marshal Martin Pane announced the arrest of Jeffrey Reid, a 27-year-old man, on charges of criminal homicide and other related offenses.

On July 28, deputy U.S. marshals and task force officers from the Richmond, VA office arrested Reid without incident in the 2400 block of Venable St in Richmond, VA.

Man Wanted by South Carolina for Murder Arrested in Martinsburg, WV

Martinsburg, WV – On July 28, 2014 Blake Octavian Parrish, 26, was arrested in the 900 Block of Thompson St, Martinsburg, WV by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Mountain State Fugitive Task Force (MSFTF) after a brief foot pursuit.

Parrish is wanted by the Greenwood Police Department in South Carolina for murder and weapons violations. The USMS in the District of South Carolina requested the assistance of USMS in the Northern District of West Virginia believing that Parrish was residing in the Eastern Panhandle area possibly with family. During the investigation it was learned that Parrish was also wanted by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office for Wanton Endangerment with a firearm.

New Mexico's Most Wanted: Jose Gomez Self Surrenders

Albuquerque, NM – On Friday, July 11, 2014, one of New Mexico’s Most Wanted (NMMW) sex offenders, Jose Gomez, turned himself into law enforcement authorities after learning that he was wanted by the U.S. Marshals. Gomez was recently added to NMMW on June 30, 2014. Gomez stopped registering as a dangerous sex offender in April of 2014 and had not been seen since. Jose Gomez is a long time resident of Los Lunas, NM, and surrendered Friday to the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office. Sightings of Gomez came into the Marshals Service from as far away as Denver, Colorado.

Violent Gang Member Back Behind Bars

Albuquerque, NM - Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers assigned to the Marshals Service South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Task Force along with officers of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) arrested fugitive James Garcia. Garcia was wanted by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office for state charges that included Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of Firearm or Destructive Device by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Forsyth County, NC Fugitive Round Up/Sex Offender Compliance Operation Nets 13 Arrests

July 14, 2014 - A multi-agency sex offender compliance check operation was conducted on July 8th and 9th in Forsyth County. Approximately 65 investigators from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the Winston-Salem Police Department, the Kernersville Police Department, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the U.S. Marshals Service Joint Fugitive Task Force, covered Forsyth County with the mission of checking for non-compliant sex offenders.

July 07, 2014 - The United States Marshals Service Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force (WPAFTF) arrested fugitive Calvin Brundidge this afternoon. Brundidge, age 30, was wanted by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police (PBP) pursuant to two arrest warrants charging him with Robbery and a third arrest warrant on charges of Simple Assault.
