May 24, 2013 - The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), Texas Regional Office and the United States Marshals Service hosted a press conference on Wednesday, May 22nd, to recognize National Missing Children’s Day and the “Take 25” National Child Safety Campaign. National Missing Children's Day was first observed in 1983, following a proclamation by U.S. president Ronald Reagan and is officially recognized on May 25th, the anniversary of the day in 1979 when 6-year-old Etan Patz disappeared from a New York street corner on his way to school. The “Take 25” National Child Safety Campaign provides parents with helpful suggestions and ideas to help prevent their children from becoming victims of kidnappings and child abductions.

May 23, 2013 - On May 22, the U.S. Marshals Service led Puerto Rico Violent Offenders Task Force arrested Federico Rivera-Ortiz, aka "Guillermo Manson." This fugitive was wanted by the New Orleans Police Department for an alleged homicide committed in the year 1996.

May 22, 2013 - United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Ryan Harding in Syracuse, New York. Harding was being sought by the Scranton Police Department for a homicide that occurred on May 5, 2013.

May 20, 2013 - On May 17, 2013 the U.S. Marshals Service in Albuquerque, NM auctioned off 38 government surplus and seized vehicles. The vehicles were seized by local and federal agencies and the proceeds will help support law enforcement activities in the Albuquerque area. 180 private citizens registered for the auction and a total of $212,175.00 was raised.

May 20, 2013 - On May 19, 2013, the U.S. Marshals South West Investigative Fugitive Team arrested Syndicato de Nuevo Mexico (SNM) gang member, Jose “Wicked” Montoya, for the allegedly killing Angel Arroyo and setting his body on fire in Las Vegas NM.

May 20, 2013 - A Washington, D.C. man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service was arrested in Augusta, Georgia by the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Deputy U.S. Marshals from the Southern District of Georgia. James Edward Brown, Jr was wanted for Failure to Appear on a Federal Probation Violation issued by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C.

May 20, 2013 - “Fugitive of the Week” Mario Camacho, of Manchester, NH was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force this afternoon. Camacho was wanted by the NH Parole Board on an outstanding arrest warrant for parole violations stemming from his original conviction and sentence for the possession and sales of narcotics.

May 14, 2013 - This afternoon, Xavier Alanson Bell was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force and Durham Police Department. Bell was wanted for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.

May 14, 2013 - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Derrick Eugene Johnson in Memphis, TN. Johnson was being sought for a homicide that occurred on February 17, 2013 in in York, PA. The victim, a 21 year old male, died from gunshot wounds.

May 08, 2013 - Joseph R. Guccione, the U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of New York, announced today the largest sale of real property in U.S. Marshals Service history. The 14-room, 5,130 square foot, luxury penthouse apartment, located on Park Avenue - belonging to convicted bank fraudster Hassan Nemazee - has been sold for $17,750,000.

May 07, 2013 - Today the U.S. Marshals Service concluded Operation Guardian, a three-year, national initiative specifically targeting the country’s most dangerous noncompliant sex offenders. Deputy marshals and law enforcement partners arrested 345 individuals who had failed to register with state authorities as required by law.

May 06, 2013 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Jason Strite in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Strite was being sought for an attempted homicide that occurred in Lower Swatara Township. It is alleged that Strite assaulted and attempted to run over the victim with his vehicle.

May 02, 2013 - The U.S. Marshals’ Middle Tennessee Joint Fugitive Task Force, backed by Nashville Police, captured a 17-year old suspect in connection with the shooting death of 17-year old Jonathan Johnson.

May 01, 2013 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force from both New Hampshire and Massachusetts arrested Ryan Patrick Lane and Amy Cole in Brockton, MA. Lane and Cole were both being sought on outstanding arrest warrants for their alleged involvement in multiple bank robberies.

May 01, 2013 - A Savannah man wanted for Murder was arrested in Ocala, Florida by the U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force. Germaine Remond Grant was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department on a charge of murder for an incident that happen on March 20, 2013, in Savannah, Georgia.

April 29, 2013 - U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Louisiana Genny May announced that the Eastern District of Louisiana celebrated their 2nd annual Diversity Day and Potluck Luncheon. The event was attended by deputies, support staff, contractors and task force officers.

April 27, 2013 - Investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested a suspect wanted in the murder of a 21-year-old female found shot to death in a room at the Corktown Inn on Detroit's West side in the early morning hours of April 19.

April 26, 2013 - Alleged drug dealer, Omar Cota, was arrested off the dance floor at Route 66 Casino inside Club Envy in Albuquerque. Cota is known by law enforcement officers to be affiliated with the Sinaloa Cartel and to be a Brew Town gang member. Cota was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and Laguna Police.

April 17, 2013 - The U.S. Marshals Service Vermont Violent Offender Task Force arrested a Virginia fugitive who was wanted for a multitude of sexual crimes against a child. Walter Montenegro was arrested in the evening hours on April 16, 2013 by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Vermont State Police.

April 17, 2013 - Rashad Akeem Williams, a major fugitive wanted on two counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder on Police Officers and numerous Armed Robbery warrants, was arrested by the Charleston Police Department, U.S. Marshals, and members of the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team on the west side of Charleston.
